Artisanal terrine with venison and Calvados, tasty and melt-in-the-mouth. A traditional recipe from Conserverie Saint-Christophe, ideal on toast.
Terrine de Chevreuil - Conserverie Saint-Christophe
The Terrine de Chevreuil from the Conserverie Saint-Christophe is a traditional speciality made with 44% venison from the forests of Hauts-de-France. This terrine harmoniously combines game with pork, onions, herbs, salt, pepper and a touch of Calvados, a typical Normandy brandy produced by distilling cider.
The recipe, handed down from generation to generation, reflects the family know-how of the cannery, founded in 1990 by Éric Van Oost in Argoules, near the Baie de Somme. Now run by his son Simon, the cannery continues to offer a wide range of local products, combining tradition and quality.
This terrine is distinguished by its melt-in-the-mouth texture and rich flavour, offering an authentic taste experience. It's ideal for eating on slices of fresh or toasted bread, accompanied by gherkins or a green salad.
