The Claret wine of Château La Bretonnière has the body of a light red primeur wine and the fruity aroma of a rosé. The nose is very intense with fine red fruit aromas (blackcurrant, blackberry, raspberry…). Well balanced, this wine has a good weight with a lot of red fruit flavours and a long finish.
Intense purple colour. On the nose, notes of red berries (blackberry, blackcurrant). Spicy notes, a touch of vanilla and persistent aromas of forest fruits in the mouth.
Grenache noir 70%, Mourvèdre 30%
Beautiful light yellow robe with green undertone. The nose is intense with dry fruits (apricot) and exotic fruits aromas. The mouth is very silky and opens on a nice minerality with notes of mango and pineapple which encases the palate. Touches of white flower complete this highly pleasant mouth.
“A wine close to perfection” ; “Charmail is definitely one of the Haut Medoc stars” ; “One of the most consistent Crus Bourgeois in the last 10-15 years”
The Château Tour Léognan White is a wine for pleasure, a blend characterized by the Sauvignon which confers on it a dynamic blend of citrus notes and a full and elegant palate, all well balanced by the round, rich texture of the Semillon.
Grapey with black licorice and mineral character. Medium-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a medium long finish. Well done for the vintage.
Wine Spectator (3 April 2003) - 89-91
A champion of longevity. Even when young, Talbot is pleasant and rounded, ever distinguished by silky, mild and very civilized tannins. It’s a racy wine, with complex marks of Havana and licorice, classically delicious without ever the slightest hint of austerity.
This wine is at the pinnacle of the vintage, one of the finest wines made. Energetic and with fabulous substance, it offers supreme balance, with a magical hue and a taffeta touch. Fruit, tannins and acidity all meld with sumptuous harmony. Another masterpiece.
