Château Fontsainte, Corbières - Gris de Gris 2023
(€12.67 L)
Very fresh, lively rosé; as an aperitif or with fish, white meat.
Winemaker and winery: The winery finds its origins in the 17th century, when the Laboucarié family began to grow grapes here. The winery was founded in 1971 and has been a pioneer in the appellation ever since. Since 2000, it has been run by Bruno Laboucarié. In 2017, 10 ha of the neighbouring vineyards were purchased. Since this year, the winery has also been awarded the HVE certificate, which stands for compliance with numerous environmental protection measures.
Tasting: The wine has a bright, crystalline salmon-coloured dress with glimmers of amethyst and an intense aroma that develops from delicate flowers to small red fruits (strawberries, cherries). Harmonious and very subtle overall impression.
Service: Drink chilled (8°C) as an aperitif or with tapenade or aioli toast. Also goes perfectly with wok vegetables, grilled fish, lamb tajine or roast guinea fowl with rosemary.
