The nose is frank and complex, with notes of caramel, sweet spices, flambéed banana and old rum. A delicate entry on the palate. The mid-palate is marked by a subtle, caressing sweetness. This wine is best enjoyed on its own.

The solera has contributed to the wine's dark amber colour and warm rancio development, with hints of walnut, coffee and spices. On the palate, the Hors d'Age is mellow but present, with a dry balance of rancio, spice and tobacco. Perfect with a cigar after a black coffee or walnut cake.
