Château Palmer Alter Ego 2012 - Margaux
Origin & Production
Château Palmer Alter Ego 2012 is a red wine from the Margaux appellation, produced by Château Palmer, classified as a Cru Classé. This vintage is made from a blend of 51% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Petit Verdot. The vines, grown on gravel and gravel-clay soils, benefit from integrated viticulture. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled vats, followed by 12 to 14 months in barrels, 35% of which are new.
Wine profile
- Colour : Deep garnet red.
- Nose : Aromas of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry), white truffle, stone and liquorice, with subtle floral and woody notes.
- Palate: Supple and round on the palate, with a fine, elegant tannic structure. The balance between acidity and fruit is remarkable, offering a velvety texture and good length.
