Origin and background
The 2016 vintage, marked by a hot, dry summer followed by a cool, long autumn, enabled the grapes to ripen to perfection. Lacoste Borie, located on a gravelly terroir in Pauillac, produces a wine that combines power, elegance and finesse, true to the classic style of this prestigious appellation.
Tasting
Colour: Deep red with violet highlights.
Nose: Complex and aromatic. Aromas of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry), red fruit (black cherry), sweet spices (pepper, liquorice), floral notes (violet) and subtle woody nuances (cedar, vanilla).
Palate: Full, velvety attack. Fine, well-structured tannins. Well-balanced, dense mid-palate with pure fruit and controlled acidity. Long, harmonious finish, marked by spicy, woody notes.
