General Description

Created in 1969 by Henri and Françoise Bouhy, Pastis F. Bouhy is an authentic pastis made from essential oils of star anise and distilled Mediterranean plants such as green anise, fennel and lemon balm. An infusion of liquorice completes its highly aromatic personality. Today, Maison Jacoulot perpetuates this original recipe, highlighting the distillery's traditional know-how.

Aromatic profile

    - Colour: Clear, slightly cloudy when mixed with water, characteristic of traditional pastis.

    - Nose: Fresh, herbaceous aromas, dominated by star anise, complemented by notes of fennel and lemon balm.

    - Palate: Gentle, well-balanced attack, dominated by aniseed and liquorice, supported by a slight bitterness from the fennel.

    - Finish: Long and refreshing, with lingering aniseed flavours and a hint of sweet liquorice.

Food and wine pairings

Pastis F. Bouhy is traditionally drunk neat or with fresh water, in a pastis glass. It goes perfectly with

    - Provençal aperitifs such as olives, tapenades or anchoïades.

    - Seafood, such as oysters or prawns.

    - Mature cheeses such as Comté or Saint-Nectaire.

It can also be enjoyed on its own, to savour its rich aromas.
