Château de Millet is a family estate located in Eauze, in the Gers department, in the heart of the Bas-Armagnac region. The vineyards are planted on sandy soils known as ‘tawny sands’, ideal for producing fine, elegant armagnacs.
The 5-year-old VSOP is a Bas-Armagnac made from a blend of eaux-de-vie aged for at least 5 years in oak casks. It is distilled on the estate in a traditional wood-fired still, using the Baco grape variety, renowned for its aromatic richness and ability to age well.
The Armagnac is aged in 400-litre barrels, without the addition of caramel, sugar or aromas, and without excessive filtration, in order to preserve all the authenticity of the product. The armagnac is bottled at the château at 42% alcohol.
On tasting, it has an amber colour and an expressive nose with notes of vanilla, dried fruit and sweet spices. On the palate, the attack is supple and round. The flavours are woody, fruity and slightly pastry-like. The finish is warm and well-balanced.
This VSOP Bas-Armagnac is a harmonious, generous and accessible cuvée, ideal for discovery or to accompany a moment of relaxation after a meal.
