A full-bodied, rich, and plush wine with notes of chocolate-covered cherries and blueberry pie. Great length on the palate.
Gentle, dark, small berried-fruit, blackberry more than cassis. Hint of cedar. Taut and firm but not dry. Embryonic rather than dry tannins. Long, fresh, juicy finish.
Calice de Saint Pierre is a blend of the 4 terroirs of the appellation which gives it finesse, complexity and length.
Medium to deep garnet-purple color, fragrant scents of redcurrant jelly, Morello cherries, plum preserves and fresh blackcurrants, suggestions of red roses, cedar chest and pencil lead.
This rancio develops prune, dried fruit and gingerbread aromas. The balance between the sugar and alcohol generally dry offers good length with coffee and walnut notes on the finish.
Very fragrant, it exhales notes of fresh leather, meat juice and truffle. The palate is marked by a certain rusticity.
This is one of the best second wines of the Médoc. Like its elder, this is a classic, elegant wine, with a clear, well-designed structure and a long, fresh final.
This cuvée comes from a selection of two plots planted with Grenache, one in 1900 "Charbonnières", the other in 1949 "Esqueirons".
