The 2019 Cos Labory reveals inviting aromas of plums, blackcurrants and loamy soil, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and elegantly fleshy palate that's framed by fine, powdery tannins and succulent acids. A medium to full-bodied wine, rich in cherry and red berry aromas, with a satiny attack and a saline finish
From the very first whiff, the fruitiness fills the glass. The palate is full-bodied, with well-structured tannins and a delicious, vibrant, well-balanced finish.
Lascombes 2011, Margaux 2nd GCC: dark fruit, silky tannins, fresh finish. Elegant and balanced.
Its colour is a beautiful bright red, the nose is very aromatic with notes of red fruits, liquorice and spices.
Deep garnet-purple coloured, aromas of fragrant earth, herbs and spice cake with a cassis, kirsch and boysenberries core. The palate is medium-bodied, chewy with a rustic finish.
Carbonnieux 2015, Pessac-Léognan Cru Classé: ripe fruit, silky tannins, elegant finish. Balanced and refined.
Gentle, dark, small berried-fruit, blackberry more than cassis. Hint of cedar. Taut and firm but not dry. Embryonic rather than dry tannins. Long, fresh, juicy finish.
The palate is succulently supple, sublime and harmonious. Shiveringly long, to die for.
