N°3 - the bottle extracted from the best parcels of the vineyard. You have drawn the right number!
The Cuvée N°3 2019 from Cave de Castelmaure is a remarkable red wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon region, under the AOC Corbières appellation.
It is a harmonious blend of Carignan (25%), Grenache Noir (35%), and Syrah (40%), reflecting the richness and diversity of the schist and limestone soils.
Hand harvesting and precise vinification ensure top quality.
Following a cold pre-fermentation maceration and low-temperature fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new.
This maturation brings complexity and refined tannic structure.
Appearance: Deep red with purple highlights, indicating youth and aging potential.
Nose: Intense aromas of ripe black fruits like blackcurrant and blackberry, enhanced with spice, licorice, and elegant oak.
Palate: Generous and smooth on the attack, with silky tannins and good freshness.
Balanced between fruit and oak, with a long finish and hints of garrigue.
This bold and expressive wine pairs well with:
Grilled or sauced red meats
Roasted or stewed game
Aged cheeses (Brie, Chavignol, Munster)
Dark chocolate or coffee-based desserts
Serve at 16–18°C. Decant 1 to 2 hours before serving. Enjoy now or within the next 6 years.
