Réserve de la Comtesse 2010 is the perfect accompaniment to grilled red meats, game and mature cheeses.
Réserve de la Comtesse 2010 is the second prestigious cuvée of Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, one of the emblematic crus of the Pauillac appellation in the Médoc region of Bordeaux. This 2010 vintage, recognised as exceptional, reveals all the finesse and complexity of this wine for laying down.
Blend :
Mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this wine perfectly illustrates the classic balance of the great Pauillacs.
Sensory profile:
The wine reveals a deep ruby colour with garnet highlights. The nose opens with a rich, complex bouquet, combining powerful aromas of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry) and black cherry with elegant notes of cedar, tobacco, vanilla and sweet spices, the result of perfectly controlled barrel ageing.
On the palate, the texture is full and silky, supported by fine, well-integrated tannins, offering a solid yet elegant structure. The mineral freshness characteristic of Pauillac balances the richness of the fruit, while the finish is long and harmonious, with remarkable aromatic persistence.
Notes and scores :
- Robert Parker (Wine Advocate): 95-97/100
- Wine Spectator: 95/100
- James Suckling: 96/100
These scores reflect the exceptional quality of the vintage and its ageing potential.
Wine and food pairing :
Réserve de la Comtesse 2010 is the perfect accompaniment to grilled red meats, game and mature cheeses. It can be enjoyed now after decanting, or cellared for 15 to 20 years for optimum development.
