Virgin Plum Kernel Oil is a rare and precious oil.
It is produced at the mill from the kernels hidden inside the stones of dried plums from Southwest France. The oil is gently cold-pressed using a screw press to preserve all of its nutritional and sensory qualities. It delights with a unique, delicately aromatic flavour, revealing subtle notes of frangipane.
The producer: Moulin de la Veyssière in Neuvic-sur-l’Isle is the last operating oil mill in the Vallée du Vern. For over 165 years, this family-run mill has been crafting characterful artisanal oils, flours and regional specialties from walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds and peanuts.
The historic water-mill site also offers free guided tours with oil tastings, a museum, an educational garden and a charming boutique housed in the former bakehouse.
