Situated on the heights of Saint-Estèphe, Château Montrose is a benchmark among the Second Grand Cru Classés of 1855. Renowned for its powerful, deep wines designed for ageing, Montrose's 2012 vintage is a wine of great precision, the result of rigorous work both in the vineyard and in the cellar.

Blend

57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot

A classic Left Bank blend, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, guaranteeing structure, freshness and longevity.

Tasting

    - Colour: Dark, deep ruby with purple highlights.

    - Nose: Elegant and complex, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, graphite, fine leather and sweet spices.

    - Palate: Firm, precise attack, ripe, powerful tannins, fine acidity, long, taut, mineral finish
