A generous and well-rounded red wine from Roussillon, made in equal parts from Carignan, Syrah, and Grenache. Fruity and lingering on the palate.
Producer: This winery has been run by winemakers for six generations since 1864, each putting their heart and soul into preserving the ancient agricultural heritage of this small region in northern Catalonia and making the most of its naturally gifted terroir. In 1989, Pierre and Marie-Claude Fontaneil founded Domaine Fontanel. In 2017, Elodie and Matthieu Collet took over the estate, with guidance from Pierre. Elodie worked for over ten years in the field of sensory analysis, which contributes to the production of wines with a refined flavor profile.
Tasting notes: Aromas of wild berries, with a long, spicy, and fresh finish.
Food pairing: Braised dishes, grilled meats.
