Château de Fieuzal - Blanc 2019

Origin: Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux, France

Type: Dry white wine

Grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon

Estate: Château de Fieuzal, a Graves cru classé renowned for its elegant, well-structured wines.

Tasting Notes

Appearance : Pale yellow colour with green highlights.

Nose : A complex bouquet combining citrus fruit (lemon, grapefruit), white flowers (acacia, honeysuckle) and exotic fruit (mango, lychee), underlined by a stony minerality and delicate vanilla notes.

Palate: Fresh and dynamic on the attack, with well-integrated acidity. The wine develops a lovely roundness and balanced structure, combining intense fruitiness with mineral nuances. The finish is long, elegant and persistent.

Critic

- Robert Parker (Wine Advocate): 92/100

- Wine Spectator: 91/100

- Jancis Robinson: 16.5/20

Suggested pairings

This wine is ideal with shellfish (oysters, clams), noble fish grilled or in sauce (sea bass, turbot). It will also go well with delicate poultry in a light sauce, mature soft cheeses, or dishes composed of green vegetables and fresh herbs. Its freshness and aromatic complexity make it an excellent choice for an elegant aperitif or refined Mediterranean cuisine.
