Patrick Javillier, Meursault "Les Tillets" 2022
(€101.20 L)
fine, elegant and with a certain power!
Patrick Javillier's wines are fine, rich and well-balanced with a great freshness
Winemaker and winery: In 1945, after returning from the war, Raymond Javillier took over the parcels of land totalling 2 hectares, which had already belonged to the family for a long time. 1974 was a decisive year in the history of the estate: Patrick, Raymond's son, took over the management of the estate and expanded it until the early 1990s. Patrick's daughter, Marion, has been working at the winery since 2005; her sister's husband, Pierre Emmanuel, has also been working there since 2011.
Tasting: expressive on the nose; with notes of white flowers, yellow and white fruits, as well as slightly spicy notes - the nose is complex and very elegant. On the palate, the wine is round, very lively with an aromatic freshness and minerality. The Meursault is very fine and persistent; it does not hide its somewhat powerful notes and is elegant and straightforward on the palate. The style of the wine lies somewhere between a classic Meursault and a typical Puligny-Montrachet.
Food recommendation: Perfect with grilled fish or a light sauce, with white meat, serve at 11/13°C
