The Nuits-Saint-Georges from Domaine Noëllat impresses with elegance, intense fruit notes, and a powerful structure.
Winery:
Domaine Michel Noëllat is located in the Côte de Nuits, specifically in Vosne-Romanée, and spans 23.5 hectares. It is one of the prominent wineries in Burgundy, producing renowned appellations such as Morey-Saint-Denis, Vosne-Romanée, and Nuits-Saint-Georges, including prestigious Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards like Echezeaux and Clos de Vougeot. Founded in the 19th century by Félix Noëllat, the estate has remained in the family ever since. Today, Sébastien and Sophie Noëllat manage the winery, achieving a successful balance between traditional, sustainable viticulture and modern winemaking techniques, as reflected in their state-of-the-art winery built in 2009.
Terroir:
The vineyards of Nuits-Saint-Georges feature clay-limestone soils, with about 1.60 hectares of vines, averaging 50 years old.
Tasting Notes:
This ruby-red Pinot Noir reveals a delicate, floral aromatic profile with peony and rose, complemented by fresh red fruit notes. On the palate, the wine is smooth with vibrant freshness and precise structure. The fine-grained tannins provide depth, character, and a long-lasting finish.
Food Pairing:
Enjoy with beef steak, duck breast, or cheese.
