Very fine nose with notes of candied fruit. Large-scale attack with aromas of cooked hazelnuts and prunes.
Château de Millet Bas-Armagnac 1976 is an exceptional eau-de-vie, produced by the Dèche family in the heart of the Bas-Armagnac region in the Gers. This vintage reflects the ancestral know-how of the house, which makes its Armagnacs exclusively from grapes grown, vinified and distilled on site.
Tasting profile
- Colour: Deep amber, reflecting its prolonged ageing in oak casks.
- Nose: Open and elegant, revealing aromas of candied fruit, figs and plums, accompanied by spicy notes.
- Palate: Full and round on the palate, with a fine tannic structure. Ripe fruit flavours blend harmoniously with woody and spicy nuances.
- Finish: Long and persistent, marked by notes of liquorice and prune, offering great complexity.
Tasting and pairings
This Bas-Armagnac is best enjoyed neat, at room temperature, to fully appreciate its aromatic richness. It can also be served as an after-dinner drink after a hearty meal. Its strong character makes it an ideal companion for refined dishes such as mature cheeses, grilled meats or dark chocolate desserts.
