Château Filhot - 2019
Origin: Sauternes, Bordeaux, France
Type: Sweet white wine
Grape varieties: Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Bright golden colour, deep and luminous.
Nose : Expressive and complex, developing aromas of candied apricot, honey, white flowers and candied orange peel, with hints of spice and vanilla from barrel ageing.
Palate: Smooth, suave attack, rich in liqueur but balanced by fine acidity. Intense flavours of candied fruit, honey, exotic fruit and sweet spices. The finish is long and harmonious, with a freshness that preserves the wine's liveliness.

Suggested pairings
Château Filhot 2019 goes perfectly with semi-cooked or pan-fried foie gras, roast poultry accompanied by fruit (guinea fowl with figs), blue-veined cheeses (Roquefort, Bleu d'Auvergne) or lightly sweet fruity desserts (apricot tart, mango salad). It can also be enjoyed on its own, at the end of a meal, either on its own or with a variety of cheeses.
