Château Carbonnieux - White 2019
Origin and background
Château Carbonnieux Blanc 2019 comes from the Pessac-Léognan terroir, renowned for its gravelly soils which bring minerality and complexity. The estate favours sustainable viticulture, as well as meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar, to reveal the purity and freshness of this classic, refined white wine.
Tasting notes
Appearance: Pale yellow with green highlights, clear and brilliant.
Nose: Intense and complex, with floral, fresh citrus and delicate exotic fruit aromas. There are also hints of minerals, gunflint and a hint of butter from the subtle barrel ageing.
Palate: Lively, fresh attack, with a lovely roundness that balances the acidity. The wine develops a rich, harmonious range of aromas, combining ripe fruit, floral notes and a saline minerality. The finish is long and elegant, with a slight woody complexity that is perfectly integrated.
