Château La Tour Blanche 2017
Origin and background
Château La Tour Blanche, located on the heights of Bommes, is one of the oldest crus classés in Sauternes. The estate is renowned for its precision viticulture and rigorous expertise in producing sweet wines of great purity.
Tasting
Colour: Bright golden yellow with amber highlights.
Nose: Intense, complex and pure. Dominant aromas of candied apricot, quince, acacia honey, dried fruit and candied citrus fruit, enhanced by a spicy, slightly woody touch.
Palate: Smooth and elegant. The balance between rich residual sugar and acid tension is remarkable. The texture is silky, with aromas of exotic fruit, roasted pineapple, vanilla and orange zest expressed with precision. The finish is long, fresh, mineral and perfectly controlled.
Grape varieties: Semillon (83%), Sauvignon Blanc (12%), Muscadelle (5%).
