Château La Tour Blanche 2011 is a top-class sweet wine produced in the Sauternes appellation. This vintage is a perfect illustration of the estate's expertise, combining concentration, aromatic complexity and freshness.

The estate

Located in Bommes, in the heart of the Sauternes appellation, Château La Tour Blanche was classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1855. It extends over some 40 hectares of vines, benefiting from ideal conditions for the development of noble rot (botrytis cinerea), essential for the production of great sweet wines.

Tasting

The colour is straw yellow with golden highlights. The nose is expressive, with aromas of vanilla, candied fruit, toast and smoke. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and velvety, with flavours of apricot, roasted pineapple, vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is long and delicious, with notes of butterscotch and dried fruit.

Food and wine pairings

Ideal with foie gras, blue cheeses (such as Roquefort), poultry in cream sauce, or fruity desserts (apricot tart, peach crumble).
