Origin and background
The 2016 vintage at Pessac-Léognan benefited from a hot, dry summer followed by a cool, long autumn, ideal for the slow ripening and concentration of the white grapes. Château Carbonnieux, renowned for its elegant dry white wines, has produced a fresh, aromatic and complex wine in keeping with its gravelly terroir.
Tasting
Colour: Pale yellow with golden highlights.
Nose: Intense and expressive. Aromas of citrus fruit (grapefruit, lemon), exotic fruit (mango, passion fruit), white flowers and mineral notes.
Palate: Fresh, lively attack. Well-balanced, with good acidity and a round texture. Rich, complex mid-palate with well-integrated fruity and floral notes. Long, mineral finish with long-lasting aromas.
