Blend
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (around 68%), Merlot (29%), Cabernet Franc (2%) and Petit Verdot (1%).
Tasting
Colour: The wine has a deep garnet-red colour with purplish tints, heralding good concentration.
Nose: The bouquet is complex and elegant, combining ripe black fruit, floral notes and hints of wood and smoke. There are also aromas of cedar, tobacco and cocoa, characteristic of great Pauillacs.
Palate: The attack is silky and full-bodied. The palate reveals a powerful but perfectly balanced structure, with fine tannins and fine tension. The aromas evolve towards graphite, liquorice, sweet spices and a touch of minerality. The finish is very long, fresh and precise.

Food & wine
This great Pauillac is the perfect accompaniment to grilled rib of beef, leg of suckling lamb, venison fillet with cranberries, or mature cheeses such as an old Comté or a farmhouse Saint-Nectaire. Its structure allows it to sublimate rich dishes while retaining a fine finesse.
