The 2010 vintage of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is a majestic wine that perfectly illustrates the refinement and power of the Pauillac appellation. It expresses great depth, remarkable aromatic intensity and an impressive balance between strength and elegance.

Tasting notes :

A dense, dark colour, typical of great Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose reveals complex aromas of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry), underlined by notes of graphite, cedar, sweet spices and a subtle floral touch. On the palate, the attack is full and precise, carried by a firm but silky tannic structure. The finish is long, fresh and persistent, reflecting great ageing potential.

Critics' scores:

Vinous (Neal Martin) : 98+/100

Wine Spectator: 95/100

Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) : 93/100

James Suckling: 94/100

Wine Enthusiast: 96/100

Food & wine pairings:

This great Pauillac is ideal with grilled prime rib, roast game or gourmet dishes in sauce. It will also enhance a platter of mature cheeses.

Cellaring potential:

Already superb today after decanting, it could also evolve for another 20 to 25 years in the cellar, developing even more complex and refined tertiary aromas.
