Tasting

Colour: Very dark, deep garnet-red, almost opaque.

Nose: Complex and intense, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, violet, sweet spices, menthol, graphite and a mineral touch of damp rock.

Palate: The attack is full and energetic. The tannins are dense, fine and racy. The wine has good tension, impressive structure and long-lasting aromas. On the palate, there are ripe black fruits, well-integrated woody notes and a fresh, mineral finish.

Food and wine pairings

Ideal with mature rib of beef, venison fillet, game in sauce, or strong cheeses such as old Salers, Laguiole or mature Comté.
