Producer: This estate has been run by winemakers since 1864, spanning six generations dedicated to preserving the age-old agricultural heritage of this small region in northern Catalonia. Their passion lies in showcasing the full potential of a naturally gifted terroir.
In 1989, Pierre and Marie-Claude Fontaneil founded Domaine Fontanel. In 2017, Elodie and Matthieu Collet took over the estate, with Pierre still offering his support. Elodie brings over ten years of expertise in sensory analysis, which contributes to the creation of wines with refined and expressive flavor profiles.
Tasting Notes: Smooth and long on the palate, with subtle aromas of peach and exotic fruits.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with fish and white meat in sauce, marinated salmon, Thai cuisine, curry, and cheeses like Beaufort or Cantal.
