Château Bastor Lamontagne 2018
Appellation: Sauternes, Bordeaux, France
Grape varieties: Sémillon majority, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle
Vintage: 2018
Origin and background
The 2018 vintage, characterised by alternating humidity and heat, encouraged the development of botrytis cinerea (noble rot), which is necessary for the production of great Sauternes wines. Château Bastor Lamontagne's gravelly, sandy soils produce a sweet wine renowned for its finesse, aromatic purity and freshness.
