Domaine Ternynck, Chablis - Grand Cru Valmur 2022
(€118.00 L)
A fruity, strong and complex Grand Cru!
In General: The grapes that have been transformed into this wine grew on the typical Kimmeridgien soil on a south-facing slope. It’s a terroir that develops notably in the late ripening phase. The wine has been made à la bourgignonne including alcoholic and malolactic fermentation with indigenous yeast in oak barrels, 18 months aging on yeast
can be stored for more than 10 years
Producer: The Ternynck family’s wineyard is located about 7 kilometers from Chablis and is HVE-certified and is also in BIO conversion. The winery receives awards every year.
Tasting: Golden-coloured robe; the Grand Cru Valmur impresses with its strength and complexity. Aromas of pear, mirabelle plum and toffee are particularly pronounced. With age, the Kimmeridgian terroir comes more and more to the fore; notes of wet stone and flavours of exotic fruits join in.
Food recommendation: Fits perfectly with warm oyster, fried scallops, sweetbreads, white meat and fish with sauce
