Tasting
Colour: Deep garnet with violet highlights, dense and brilliant.
Nose: Complex aromas of red and black fruit (blackcurrant, black cherry, plum), underlined by notes of mocha, cocoa, light tobacco, vanilla and cedar.
Palate: Full, fleshy attack, with supple, mellow tannins. Medium to full body, with a lovely freshness. Ripe fruit dominates, accompanied by well-integrated touches of wood, sweet spices and a long finish of liquorice and black fruit.
Food and wine pairings
Perfect with roasted or grilled red meats, roast lamb, duck breast, game birds or mature cheeses such as Comté, Tomme de Brebis or Laguiole.
