Tasting Notes
Appearance: Intense, brilliant garnet-red.
Nose: Expressive and racy, with aromas of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry) and black cherry, with floral nuances (violet) and delicate hints of smoke and spice from barrel ageing.
Palate: Supple, dense attack, silky texture, ripe, well-integrated tannins. Beautiful aromatic depth combining black fruit, sweet spices and a hint of graphite. Well-balanced acidity underpins the freshness and lengthens the finish. A well-balanced, harmonious wine with good cellaring potential.

Suggested pairings
This vintage is the perfect accompaniment to a rack of lamb roasted with herbs or a duck breast with a bigarade sauce. It goes very well with grilled or roasted red meats (rib of beef, entrecôte bordelaise), but also with poultry stuffed with mushrooms or stewed dishes such as boeuf bourguignon. It goes elegantly with mature hard cheeses (Comté vieux, Cantal entre-deux) and can also enhance dishes with Mediterranean influences, such as a lamb tagine with prunes.
