General description

Château Cantenac Brown 2022 is a red wine from Margaux that was classified as a 3ᵉ Grand Cru in 1855. This vintage is characterised by its intensity, aromatic precision and elegant structure. It reflects both the power of Cabernet Sauvignon and the creaminess of Merlot.

Assemblage

69 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 31 % Merlot

The grapes are harvested by hand. The wine is matured in French oak barriques, 50% of which are new.

Nose and mouth

The nose is complex and expressive, with a blend of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), liquorice, violets and a hint of sweet spices such as nutmeg. In the mouth, the attack is soft and velvety, with a dense texture, silky tannins and a beautiful length. The texture is both creamy and structured, with a persistent and refined finish.
