Description

Producer: Père Jules was the father of Léon Defrièches, the owner of the traditional company, which is now over 70 years old. It was founded in 1919. The distillery is located in St-Désir-de-Lisieux, on the Normandy coast. More than 42 varieties of apples, grown on very old trees, are processed in a purely organic way.

It produces cider, sparkling cider with natural foam production in the bottle, and calvados using the traditional double distillation process. The latter is aged in noble oak casks to achieve its unique finesse and character.

Tasting notes: The nose is marked by aromas of ripe apples. The palate is delicious, with powerful flavours that make you forget the degree of alcohol (42°).

To drink: At room temperature, as an after-dinner drink, with an apple tart, to flambé an apple tart, in sauces, etc.

All Père Jules products are made from varieties of apples and pears carefully selected from traditional orchards of large trees located in a protected area of controlled production (AOC).
