Dark red colour. The nose unveils refreshing notes of red fruits and spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced and displays good concentration, matter and maturity. The dynamism of this wine emerges from the velvet of the tannins, the ripeness of the fruit and the richness of the matter.
The red fruits drive the aromas on the palate with fresh notes.
The opaque purple-hued 2006 exhibits a personality that mimics the superb 1996. Classic aromas of sweet black raspberries, kirsch, cassis, and subtle toasty oak are followed by a full-bodied, concentrated wine displaying moderately high tannin.
This Classified Growth in 1855 is the first label of Château Giscours. It is of great finesse and elegance. Delicacy and power are combined in this flask to bring you the elegance expected of a great Margaux wine. The aging potential of this great wine is between 8 and 20 years or even more for the most exceptional vintages.
