Champagne Ernest Remy
Between Épernay and Reims, two important centers of champagne production, on the gently rolling hills of "Montagne de Reims", there's a vineyard of legendary Ernest Remy, after whom it was named. It was founded in 1883; Currently, Alice Thomine, great-grandchild of the founding couple, and her husband Tarek Berrada keep full responsibility. The Pinot Noir is one of the best, in fact the grapes are Grand-Cru-only - from sites in Mailly-Champagne and Verzenay! The second big grape of Champagne, Chardonnay, proves it's high value in Remy's "Oxymore"-wine!
