Domaine Sainte-Marie and the statue of Virgin Mary
A statue of the Virgin Mary as a sign of gratitude: 1884 the cholera was raging in Provence, but was leaving out the area where the vineyard is now. Also today the protecting statue is still up on the fields!
Sainte Marie - a wine which absorbs the power of the place, the extraordinary energie of the terroir. These are attributes highly needed in the times we're all living in!
Domaine Sainte-Marie is run by Christopher Duburcq and his team since 2007. 12 varieties of grapes are grown: Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan etc. The vineyard stretches across 40 hectares and is situated between Fréjus and Toulon.
