Fresh, fruity, elegant; ideal for leafy salads, seafood and delicate fish dishes.
Martin Pouret’s Sauvignon Wine Vinegar combines traditional French vinegar craftsmanship with the elegance of carefully selected Sauvignon wine. Its ageing in wooden barrels gives it exceptional aromatic depth, delicate fruity notes and a perfectly balanced acidity. Refined and complex in taste, it enhances leafy salads, fish, seafood and fine vegetable dishes, while adding a distinctive touch to marinades and sauces.
This Sauvignon Wine Vinegar is made from a selection of the finest French Sauvignon grapes. Cultivated for centuries in the Loire Valley, the Sauvignon grape variety gives this vinegar its fresh, floral acidity and refined elegance. Its distinctive character is revealed through the traditional Orléans method, where time, craftsmanship and careful attention are at the heart of the process.
Thanks to its slow three-week fermentation in oak barrels, it develops a unique flavour profile with typical aromas of green vegetation and exotic fruits – a true expression of centuries-old French expertise.
Once home to up to 400 vinegar producers, the city of Orléans supplied around 80% of France’s vinegar needs. The Orléans method became for vinegar what the Méthode Champenoise is for sparkling wines – a benchmark for exceptional quality and traditional craftsmanship.
Of the many vinegar masters who once practised this art, only one house continues to preserve this historic production method today: Martin-Pouret – guardian of a unique French heritage and a vinegar tradition dating back centuries.
