Description

Origin and Raw Materials: This exceptional specialty red vinegar is crafted in Orléans. The recipe highlights pure Merlot red wine selected for its roundness, generous ripe red berry aromas, and soft tannins, guaranteeing a rich and balanced gourmet condiment.

Producer: Founded in 1797, Martin-Pouret is the last master vinegar maker preserving the famous "Orléans method". Backed by over two centuries of expertise, the house creates premium vinegars celebrated by top chefs for their authenticity and purity.

Production Process: Acetic fermentation takes place slowly on the surface of the Merlot wine in horizontal oak barrels at constant temperature. Aged in French oak, this traditional process allows the vinegar to absorb delicate woody and vanilla notes while retaining the grape's ripe fruitiness.

Tasting Notes: The vinegar displays a deep ruby red color with garnet highlights. On the nose, it releases an inviting bouquet of dark berries (blackcurrant, blackberry), sweet spices, and toasted oak. On the palate, the entry is crisp yet velvety, delivering integrated acidity and lingering fruit depth.
