Winemaker and Vineyard: The Pavie Macquin vineyard is characterized by its plateau location, next to the Mondot mound and on the edge of the Fongaban fault. Due to its dominant position, it ranges between an altitude of 100 meters on the mound's edge and 75 meters on the plateau's rim. Surrounded by three First Classified Great Growths, it is therefore situated in a particularly high-quality sector.
Tasting: Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Pavie Macquin charges out of the glass with gregarious black cherries, warm blackberries and wild blueberries scents followed up by loads of red roses, baking spices, cedar chest and unsmoked cigars sparks plus a waft of wild thyme.
