Winemaker and Vineyard: The terroir of Monbousquet continues to distinguish itself by its complexity and exceptionality, predominantly made up of warm, deep gravel soils and sandy-clay terrain, providing an ideal environment for the ripening of various grape varieties.

Tasting: Blended from 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and aged in French oak, 70% new, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Monbousquet simply sings even at this youthful stage. The bouquet is made up of crushed black cherries, mulberries, and cassis with touches of lavender, cloves, Sichuan pepper, and roses. The palate is medium to full-bodied, finely textured with wonderful elegance and impressive depth, offering up perfumed black berry layers and a long finish that whispers of fragrant earth. Service: Serve at room temperature to accompany duck breast cooked in vine leaves.
