Description

The wine comes from old vines (50–80 years) grown on granite soils in the Velay, from the site “Le Blanchard.” It represents a selective origin and careful work with ripe, high-quality grapes. The ageing is carried out traditionally with great care and time to preserve the character of the site. An expressive, terroir-driven wine with a clear focus on origin and structure.

Winemaker and vineyard: Among the Faury family, the passion for the rigorous challenge of growing vines is passed from father to son. This work continues in their wine cellar where each vintage reveals, emphasises and reflects the distinctive characteristics of its "terroirs".

Tasting: Brilliant garnet color. Pleasant wine with aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberries ...) and fruits in alcohol (sour cherries). It evolves on spicy notes over time. Pleasant wine with fine and melted tannins.

Food pairing: Autumn game in sauce (e.g. pigeon, wild duck) as well as roasted game (e.g. haunch of venison, oven-braised wild boar shoulder).
