Purple mustard from Brive with grape must and fine mustard seeds.
This purple mustard is as iconic to Brive as the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. A traditionally crafted product with a modern, contemporary taste, it is made with grape must and fine mustard seeds. In the 14th century, even Pope Clement VI himself took an interest in this special mustard and had a messenger sent from Brive to meet him, who was called the "Grand Moutardier du Pape" (The Pope's Grand Mustard Maker).
Producer: Denoix is a large liqueur factory founded in 1839 in the town of Brive-la-Gaillarde in Corrèze. The knowledge of the master liqueur makers from that time is still applied today to ensure the quality of products made from hazelnuts, plants, and fruits. The company holds the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" label, which stands for a strong sense of tradition combined with a bold approach to innovation.
