A bottle brimming with all the vibrant colors and aromas of a Riesling Grand Cru. A body that’s neither too full-bodied nor too light. Our Kirchberg de Ribeauvillé from Bott is a seasoned veteran: aromatically, it’s centered on citrus, like lime. Light spicy notes. Ginger. Flint in the finish. Rigorous and straightforward. That’s exactly how it should be!
Winemaker and Winery: Philippe-Louis Bott began producing wines in 1835. His wines gained recognition relatively quickly—including in the U.S. (Gold in Chicago in 1893). The traditional estate, run by Paul and Gladys, owns 26 hectares of vineyards.
Tasting Notes: A wine of great finesse with a well-developed body. Alsatian Grands Crus are generally characterized by an elegant bouquet that develops remarkable aromas over time, typical of marl and limestone soils. A subtle aroma with notes of citrus fruits, initially impetuous, then with a long-lasting, delicate acidity; typical traits, dry and lively, with a pleasant fullness.
Food pairing: A wine to accompany the finest meat dishes. It pairs well with all Alsatian specialties and is an ideal complement to goat cheese. Serving temperature: 8°C.
