Description

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Poujeaux has an oh-so-tempting nose of blackcurrant pastilles, redcurrant jelly and warm plums with touches of pencil lead, underbrush, cinnamon toast and wild thyme. The medium-bodied palate has a fair bit of chewiness giving way to loads of lovely, ripe fruit with soft acidity, finishing savory. robertparker.com (6/2020)
