One of the most powerful and fleshiest Pinot Noirs from Gevrey-Chambertin. The terroir is located at the northernmost edge of the appellation, bordering the 1er Cru Gevrey-Chambertin.

Producer: The Tortochot estate has been linked to the Tortochot family for four generations. It was Paul Tortochot who, in the 19th century, developed the winery from its modest beginnings in Gevrey-Chambertin. Today, it remains in the hands of the Tortochot family. Chantal now leads the estate with all the passion for wine and nature passed down from her parents and grandparents, as well as the international experience she gained while working for an American oil company.

Terroir: Gevrey-Chambertin boasts a rare and unique terroir, thanks to the "alluvial fan" originating from a valley located directly west of Gevrey, known as "La Combe de Lavaux." This glacier melted millions of years ago, distributing rich topsoil and subsoil across the area that now forms the village and extends beyond the plains. It is therefore no surprise that 9 of the 33 Grand Crus come from this village, including the famous Chambertin, as well as 26 Premier Crus!

Tasting Notes: Very fruity, powerful with great length, and round on the palate.

Aging Potential: 3-5 years.
