The Réserve de la Demoiselle is a selected cuvée from the family-owned Domaine de Fontsainte in Boutenac, located in the Languedoc region. It comes from the Corbières appellation and is made from traditional grape varieties of the area. The wine reflects the estate’s signature style as well as the expressive character of Southern French Corbières wines.
Winery: Domaine de Fontsainte is a historic family estate run by the Laboucarié family in Boutenac, Languedoc. Founded in 1971, the winery produces characterful wines under the AOP Corbières and AOP Corbières-Boutenac appellations and is considered one of the leading producers in the region.
Tasting Notes: In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby color. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe dark berries, cherries, and plums, complemented by Mediterranean herbs, spices, and subtle toasted notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with ripe, supple tannins, fresh acidity, and a clear structure. The finish is long, spicy, and elegant, with fruity depth and a distinctly Southern French character.
Food Pairing: Excellent with braised or grilled meats such as lamb, beef, or game. It also pairs very well with hearty stews, Provençal-style dishes, and Mediterranean vegetable preparations. A great match for aged hard cheeses as well.
