Deep garnet-purple color with scents of raspberry pie, warm plums and blackcurrant pastilles plus touches of garrique, tobacco leaf and dusty soil with a hint of bay leaves.
Very black coffee on the nose. The wine is dense and quite tannic, with an unusual roundness from Merlot. A chameleon-like wine.

This is one of the best second wines of the Médoc. Like its elder, this is a classic, elegant wine, with a clear, well-designed structure and a long, fresh final.
Fruity aromas, licorice, leather; pairs well with roast pork, braised veal.
A supple, delicious wine with good consistency.
