Delicately smoke-flavoured ketchup with balanced seasoning and a rich, full-bodied taste.
Just because Martin-Pouret has been a master vinegar maker in Orléans since 1797 doesn't mean they have stopped exploring new horizons. Drawing on centuries of expertise, they have created a ketchup made from 100% French ingredients, where sun-ripened tomatoes and oak barrel-aged white wine vinegar take centre stage.
Producer:The production of vinegar, the city of Orléans and the Loire region have been closely connected since the Renaissance. At that time, wines from southern France were transported by boat to Orléans before continuing their journey overland to Paris. During this eventful voyage along Europe's wildest river, some wines underwent a second fermentation. These wines were then set aside along the quays of Orléans and taken over by the city's vinegar makers, who perfected their transformation from wine into vinegar. This is how the famous Orléans vinegar was born.
Since 1797, Martin-Pouret has continuously preserved this traditional craftsmanship while constantly raising its standards of quality. Thanks to the expertise of its master vinegar makers, respect for centuries-old methods and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Martin-Pouret produces vinegars enjoyed around the world—from the kitchens of Michelin-starred chefs to the tables of discerning gourmets.
