Beginning with the 2009 vintage, Labégorce Zédé has been folded into Labégorce, both of which are owned by the Perrodo family (as is the recently acquired Marquis d'Alesme). The 53-hectare vineyard has thus grown to 65 hectares and remains situated on the plateau just north of the town of Margaux, across the road from Lascombes. Density now approaches 10,000 vines per hectare with an average age in 2018 of 29 years. Aging is in 40% new and 60% one-year-old barrels.
The 2018 Labégorce is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. It has 14% alcohol. Un vin corsé et opulent, avec des fruits noirs denses. Structuré, il promet de gagner en finesse et cohésion en bouteille.
Un Saint-Émilion complexe, avec des tanins serrés et une finale rapide. Notes de cassis, réglisse et sel marin.
Robe pourpre profond, tanins puissants et soyeux; accompagne de la viande de boeuf.
Un vin moyen à corsé, riche en arômes de cerises et de baies rouges, avec une attaque satinée et une fin saline.
Pinot Noir élégant et puissant d’Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru “Les Fournières” 2023, aux fruits rouges et épices, avec une belle structure et un potentiel de garde.
Belle couleur intense et sombre. Nez fruité vif. Le vin est fruité, savoureux et parfumé avec des tanins fins. Très agréable.
